About the Capita Mega Death

Inspired by the legacy of the Black Snowboard of Death, Capita introduce the Mega Death. Custom-designed for an unmatched ultralight and powerful performing ride, this snowboard is a high-end, high-tech freeride machine unlike anything else.

The Alpine V1 Profile design features a mid-body camber with a flat tail and a reverse-cambered nose. This allows for tons of pop and stability on hard packs while increasing float and landing power, improving the rider’s performance in deep snow. The camber runs longer in the tail—providing extra power for the ascent or for larger riders drawn to a dedicated wide series.

The core is an FSC Certified 3D Thermopolymer Starship Core, which contains only the highest-rated Poplar. With a strength-to-weight ratio comparable to Paulownia, this core retains the poppiness of Poplar and then achieves its signature feel with the addition of bonded post-consumer recycled thermopolymer channels, forming an advanced hybrid core.

Capita’s MegaDrive Base is made with the most advanced and premium materials including UHMW polyethene. It is modified with high carbon content and special fluoro additives for lightspeed gliding in a wide range of conditions.
