About the Oakley MOD 1 MIPS

The MOD 1 helmet has a lightweight low profile design inspired by traditional skate headgear. Relatively new to the helmet market, Oakley has invested time into constructing helmets with exceptional fit and performance and twinned them with their successful goggle range.

A Boa 360 fit system at the rear allows the helmet to be adjusted to deliver an exact fit. A Fidlock buckle on the chin strap means that the helmet can be easily clipped in or undone with one hand, even when wearing gloves.

Oakley has included their Brim ventilation technology in the Mod 1. It’s a fully integrated goggle/helmet system that guarantees efficient venting and heat management. With perfectly aligned brim vents, the MOD 1 aids cooling, allowing heat to escape from the goggles. This in turn reduces fogging, improving the clarity of vision with additional exhaust ports/adjustable vents at the back of the helmet.

Featuring an In-Mould construction, the MOD 1 effectively reduces weight and enhances comfort. Ensuring breathability and freshness, the liner is removable, washable, and can be replaced with a beanie. Comfort is reinforced through Oakley’s No-Pressure ear cups which eradicate discomfort to the ears, a common problem amongst helmet designs.

Equipped with innovative MIPS technology, the helmet reduces the rotational forces exerted on the brain during a collision and offers superior protection to prevent injury from angled impacts.
